LEAD Public Schools is proud to announce that Don Williamson, a successful executive and community leader with more than four decades of experience in the city, has been appointed as our newest member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Williamson is a current managing director of Compass Executives, LLC, an organization of C-level executives who provide management consulting, interim management and leadership development. He is a former president and CEO of Rogers Group, Inc., a crushed stone and asphalt construction company with locations across the Southeastern United States.
“Don Williamson has been a long-term supporter and friend of LEAD Public Schools and we are honored to welcome him to our Board of Directors,” said Board chair and Interim CEO Dwayne Tucker. “His wealth of knowledge around leadership coaching and various non-profits across the city, and his belief in our mission that every student in our network should be prepared with the skills necessary to succeed in college and in life, are but two reasons why we look forward working with him as a dedicated member of our Board.”
Mr. Williamson is a member of the Board of Directors for Nashville Public Radio. He is a former chairman of the PENCIL Foundation and Samaritans, Inc. and the E.A.R. Foundation. He has additionally been a vice-chairman of the United Way of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a former Board member for the Nashville Alliance for Public Education.
Mr. Williamson holds his BA and MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle.
